On November 26, the opening ceremony of ‘Silk Road of Chinese’ HSK2 online course (Egyptian class) was held by the International Education College. The course was organized by the Chinese Council of the National University and Enterprise Exchange Association of ‘the Belt and Road’ and the Egyptian Embassy in China. There are 8 Egyptian students from the Chinese University. Vice-president Xu Chaoshan, president of the International Education College Gao Shuhong, lecturers and Egyptian students attended the opening ceremony.
President Xu introduced the international cooperation and exchange mechanism of ‘openness, integration and innovation’ of our university as well as the school running characteristics and achievements of the education of foreign students. He pointed out that this Chinese training is a good opportunity to improve Chinese, experience culture and increase knowledge, which can effectively enable students to learn in experience and grow in activities. He also hopes to cultivate students to cherish the opportunity, feel the wonderful Chinese through the Chinese classroom and experience the unique charm of Chinese culture. Zhang Lu, a teacher from the International Education College, gave a brief introduction to HSK Chinese proficiency test, the current course arrangement, teaching contents and teaching staff.
The teachers participating in this course are Cai Hui, Lin Yi, Meng Qiaohong and Zhang Lu. All four teachers have participated in the international Chinese teacher training and successfully passed the examination with the certificate. The training will last for one and a half months, teaching HSK Level 2 and practicing in terms of vocabulary, grammar, texts and other aspects with thematic teaching as the unit. Through setting various forms of classroom activities and task guidance, students will be guided to realize the flexible output of language in the real situation and improve their language application ability.
The cross-border training project is conducive to promoting the construction of the college's international Chinese teacher team, assisting the construction of the international Chinese teacher training base, helping the development of international school running, and pushing the dissemination and promotion of international Chinese education.
