Recently, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology announced the Notice of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology on Naming the Foreign Expert Workshop of Jiangsu Province in 2021 (Su Ke Zhuan Fa [2021] No. 269), and the foreign expert workshop declared by the school of economics and management of our university was successfully selected. A total of 90 foreign expert workshops were selected in the province including 12 workshops and 2 universities in Changzhou. This selection is another breakthrough based on the approval of Changzhou foreign expert workshop in October 2021.
In recent years, the school of economics and management has introduced experts to set up an international master workshop such as Dr. Bernard J. Jansen, Chief Scientist of the Institute of Computing at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, Dr. J. Christopher Westland, professor at the University of Illinois in the United States, Dr. Mohammed Atiquzzaman, Professor at the University of Oklahoma in the United States and Jason Robert Long, founder of the EIE (Embedded in Embedded) university project, and the school has preliminarily cultivated a teaching and scientific research platform with demonstration and driving effect integrating teacher training, scientific research, talent training and achievement transformation. Relying on the national double-high construction plan of our university and the construction of provincial high-level major group, foreign experts have actively participated in the major construction and talent training of cross-border e-commerce, e-commerce and computer network technology, held online and offline lectures for many times, participated in the construction and achievement transformation projects of high-level scientific research platforms such as the Institute of intelligent manufacturing industry economics, the key research base of philosophy and social sciences in Jiangsu universities and our university, guided young teachers to publish high-level papers in SCI / SSCI journals and developed substantive exchange projects for our university in internationally renowned universities and research institutions. Meanwhile, they have also made positive contributions to the successful approved project of our university international talent training brand major of colleges and universities in Jiangsu province.
The foreign expert workshop system is an important measure to fulfill the requirements of the state and Jiangsu province for the deployment of talents. The school of economics and management will take the opportunity of being approved as the Jiangsu foreign expert workshop to further innovate the working mechanism of foreign experts, give full play to the positive role of foreign experts in the process of internationalization of our university running teaching and provide new strength for the double high construction of our university.
