From December 26 to December 27, the 2021 Annual Meeting of Education Management and Research Committee for International Students of Jiangsu Higher Education Association was held in Nanjing. Participants who attended the Annual Meeting are Chen Ligen, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Agricultural University, Chen Fadi, President, He Xingchu, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and other guests. The meeting commended the advanced collectives and individuals of Education for International Students in China. Our school was awarded the 2021 Jiangsu Province Advanced Collective of Education for International Students in China.
A total of 35 colleges and universities won this honor this year, including 6 higher vocational colleges. From 2020 to 2021, our school won this award twice in a row. In addition, there were two teachers were rated as Jiangsu Province Advanced Individuals in Education and Management for International Students and one teacher was rated as Jiangsu Province Excellent Counselor for International Students.
Facing the challenge of the normalization of the COVID-19 epidemic situation, our university took the crisis as an opportunity to timely adjust the enrollment and training methods of international students to ensure the teaching quality. We carried out the 2 + 1 joint training with overseas universities such as Indonesia Renma Institute of Technology to expand enrollment channels. Personalized and informatized online teaching could carry out one-to-one counseling, whole class teaching and other forms of teaching in according with the different situations of students; all video, audio and other online resources as well as teachers' real-time online teaching take multiple measures to improve the quality of online teaching. In view of the situation that overseas students cannot carry out internship and training, actively contacted overseas Chinese enterprises to provide students with opportunities for post internship. For example, student Gong Feng from Morocco went to Changzhou Hongfa Zongheng New Material Technology Co., Ltd.(PGTEX) Morocco company for internship and took the post of mechanical design through the recommendation of the school.
Over the past year, the school has introduced it’s international school running experience and overseas student training experience in many activities such as the research meeting of the International Student Service Center of the Ministry of Education, the UK NARIC Higher Vocational Development Seminar and the First Annual Meeting of the Council, the Graduation Ceremony of the Silk Road Chinese Chinese Teaching Practice Course for Egyptian Students, the Seminar on the Construction of High-quality Courses for International Students in China, the International Cooperative Management Practice Seminar in China’s Vocational Colleges, the Annual Meeting of China-Africa (South) Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance and Seminar on Industry-Education Integration, 2020 Annual Meeting of Jiangsu Provincial International Student Management Association. In addition, it has further expanded the influence of the school.
The school will takes the Education Quality Certification of International Students in China as the guidance, innovates the development concept, perfects the management mode, improves the service level, comprehensively promotes the international level of education, so as to make greater contributions to the construction of double first-class universities.
