On the afternoon of December 29th, we held an online exchange and cultural lecture with Shilla University in South Korea through online video. Professor Wu Qitao, director of sinro University in China, Professor Tu Bo of the Department of Management, Gao Shuhong, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of our college, Li Lu, the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and relevant counselors of the secondary college attended the exchange activity. At the same time, more than 230 students from seven facuties of our college also participated in the activity.
The exchange activities focus on the introduction of the top-up programme of Silla University , the experience sharing of students studying in South Korea, Korean culture lectures and other links. Professor Wu Qitao firstly gave a detailed introduction to the top-up programme of Silla University. During this period, he also introduced the general situation of Silla University, displayed the cultural environment on campus, and answered questions for students to study in Korea. Then, Chen Zhengyu, who graduated from our college and went to South Silla University for further study, generously shared his experience and thoughts on studying in South Korea, including his worries before studying abroad and when he first arrived in South Korea, and then eliminated them one by one. At the same time, he also shared how he quickly adapted to study and life in the process of studying in the new university, and obtained awards and tuition reduction. He unveiled the mystery of studying in South Korea for the students present and told them with his own experience: studying abroad is not an unattainable and difficult task, it can be a new beginning of life and a promising future.
After the sharing, there was a lecture session on South Korean culture. Professor Wu Qitao elaborately prepared and vividly explained from many aspects and levels, showing our students the diverse culture and customs of South Korea, so as to open up the horizon and allow everyone to approach South Korea and understand this country and its culture from different perspectives.
Since the signing of the cooperation agreement between our college and Silla University of Korea in 2016, the two sides have actively exchanged visits and established a stable cooperative relationship. Nearly 20 students of our college have gone to Silla University for their undergraduate studies through the 2+2 program. In 2021, our college cooperated with Silla University to carry out two Korean online training in June and October, and more than 100 teachers and students of our college participated in the project.Under the epidemic, the two sides took the initiative to expand the online communication and training mode for teachers and students, aiming to provide a higher platform for our students, making them continuously develop their vision and improve themselves for a better future.
