The School of Mechanical Engineering is one of the second-tier schools with the longest history. At the beginning of its establishment in 1964, the Institute mainly offered majors in mechanical engineering. At present, the School of Mechanical Engineering has established two major groups of Mechanical Manufacturing Technology and Numerical Control Technology, among which, the major group of Mechanical Manufacturing Technology focuses on mechanical manufacturing and automation, including three majors: Mechanical Design and Manufacturing, Rehabilitation Engineering Technology and Medical Device Manufacturing and Technology.
